Neighbourhood and local area reviews for renting in United Kingdom

The area the house was located in is the one redeeming point. Neighbours were lovely (although we did have the police at our door one time asking if we heard any domestics from next door). Amenities were close and we had the high street practically on our doorstep.

The area is cheap and has a lot of shops. It is fairly well connected considering the price and has a few nice pubs. Quite good for families. A few playgrounds and nurseries. But lots of odd people wandering the streets and a general “poor”/rundown feel. Go there and walk around and you’ll see what I mean instantly. Also if you’re not an arsenal fan, match days can be a pain! But all said it’s a good value for money area and I never felt unsafe there, unlike some other areas.

New Cross is ok. The property is situated on a busy crossroads with a pub over the road that plays loud music until midnight and beyond 4 nights of the week. No sound insulation in property makes this almost unmanageable.

The area is very calm, which we prefer as we do not particularly like the chaos of town centre.

Quiet and safe. Supermarket very close by but not much else going on.
Very safe area.

Walking distance to Clapham Common and Battersea Park. Great local shops and transport links.

Location, so close to town and pubs... but the road can be messy with a few odd people about.

Neighbourhood is lovely, as are the neighbours. There are loads of parks, shops and great transport links. Short walk to the main high street nd 15 minutes away from the city centre.

Property is perfectly located for ease of access to Beeston centre and public transport links.

Can be noisy due to the proximity to the main road and tramline.

(Sorry - the location is better than this but I can't in good conscience give Aston Woolf even 2 stars overall)

Surrounded by student houses and Bristol Royal Infirmary, an incredibly pleasant area.
