Neighbourhood and local area reviews for renting in United Kingdom

We have some absolutely lovely neighbours and some nasty ones. The nasty ones are the landlords relatives and we're extremely rude. Walking distance from the school, nursery and shop although cars drive very fast up the lane where the house is which can be quite scary with a 3 year old.

Not an overly studenty area but had good bus links to both universities + city centre and there was a good choice of nearby supermarkets

The stanmore area where this property is located is great for students, a 25 minute walk from the university and about a 15/20 minute walk to the big Sainsburys, with little local shops only 3/5 minutes away.

Friendly neighbours, plenty of on street parking too. 20 minute walk to the university.

Selly oak is selly oak. Standard neighbourhood. Studenty, a bit Rough, but as you’d expect.

Area was in a useful location, but my tyred were slashed, a massive fire broke out at the end of the road, and I would often come across drug paraphernalia on my route to work.

Noisy dogs on street, bad neighbours, saw muggings happen from our window, felt quite unsafe in the house.

ASB Neighbours. Noisy, intimidating, rude and drug users. Would let dogs roam around streets and into our gardens.

Very nice neighbourhood, quiet but still very close to all the amenities, bus, shops, pubs, all in 3 min

Local area of fine, apart dodgy north end road that after 9pm is fulfilled with a dodgy drug dealers.
