Landlord lives next door and manages property, and has made living in the property extremely uncomfortable. He he insisted on putting in monthly checks in the contract, and would drop in unannounced to “check on things” as he puts it on regular basis. This man litterly would tell me to cut the grass, what level to set the boiler to.

And by the way he demanded we pay rent in cash. Final straw came when demanded that transfer council tax to his name.

I could go on but gist of it is this guy is a money hungry liar, who is now refusing to give us our deposit back.

Although clean, property has not been updated since the 80s with the exception of a cheap kitchen. Landlord lives next door and has taken 90% of the garden for himself. Bathroom is old, very old, pipes make noises when used, hardly any water pressure so no showers. Titles are falling off the walls.
