It is a student area

Bit grim especially with recent bin strikes, rubbish, rats and foxes etc. which can smell very bad in summer, but a very fun university atmosphere.
Parking can be difficult in term time between 9-5

Fine, student area so not the nicest but ideal for living as a student and being close to uni, shops etc.

Convenient to access the university. Great for bus connections but not train. Bristol Road can be very loud at times but manageable.

Area's good for Uni of Birmingham students as it's so close to campus but the area itself is pretty grim.

Its the main student area so great for convenience and socialising. Shops and the university campus are a ten min walk from where we live which is ideal. Its not the safest of areas but I’ve never had a problem, anyone ive met has been really friendly.

Lovely road, quieter than many others in Selly Oak streets. Only issue is bin stealing so just keep track of your bins.

Area is alright, very close to the university and mainly populated by students and young people.

Loud and lots of antisocial behaviour in the evenings. Standard for Selly Oak but more chaos than I had in second year on Selly Hill Road.

Pretty nice for selly oak, croydon road is fairly quiet, but rubbish everywhere. Short walk to uni, which is nice.

The area is a student area and so noise and mess is expected. But convenient loacation for the university, town centre and shops. Despite this awful property, I have lived in much nicer houses in this area. Make sure to check out the landlord if the house because many do not care about student tenants at all.
