Unsafe, very badly connected both with the University and with town. Can't really think about a single reason to live there.

What more can I say. Old Orchard Street is absolutely beautiful (if you ignore the freemasons turning up every Monday looking like extras from Jeeves and Wooster).

The local area is great - close to the city centre, as well as the canal and several parks. It is also easy to get to the university and leave Bath to get to the train station or the M4.

Love the neighbourhood. Close to the city centre and both universities, and extremely close to amenities with regular bus services. Could not fault area at all

The location is decent. A 5-10 minute walk to the train station and the centre of town. Close to bus stops for the U1 and U3 buses going to the University of Bath.

The road is busy and noisy, especially if you are in a room at the front of the house. The road is also permits only, however you can park outside the house to unload your car/pack up.

There are no closeby shops. The closest shop is in the city centre which is a 15 minute walk to the bus stop and then another 15 minute ride into the city centre. The buses only come every 30 minutes and stop running at around 11pm. Also, if you are walking in the dark, there are no street lamps so you would need to use a flashlight to see where you are going as the route takes you through a forest. If you are planning to take a bus/walk to uni then you are f***ed.

If you have a car then the actual drive to uni (Bath university) is fairly short but it is all uphill with dangerous, twisty, narrow roads. My friend had a car accident in the neighbourhood due to the poor visibility and how old the area is.

The roads are narrow and you are prone to have an accident if driving. Cannot personally comment on the busses but others said they were unreliable and always late

Shops were not close by, but natural surroundings were very pretty. Hardly any artificial light in the village.
