The house is very close to the university, no longer than a 10 minute walk. Bus stops for the 25/26 bus line were only a few minutes walk from the house, so was well connected to both campus and the city. The house is also directly opposite a local shop and a take-away which was incredibly handy. Also close to UEA lake and Eaton Park. There are other student houses on the road so student parties can and do go on, but there are non-students living in very close proximity to the house. Due to the pandemic we didn't often have many other people in the house, but if we did we were careful regarding noise due to an older man living directly next door. Lovelace road itself is busy so can get very noisy, particularly due to large delivery trucks unloading throughout the day and at weekends, but you do get used to this, and the windows at the front of the house do keep out the majority of the sound when closed.

Quiet and nice neighborhood, relatively close to the University of East Anglia. Behind the main street (the Avenues) were the bus goes to the city and also to the University.

Lovely local area, walking distance from Eaton Park and near Unthank shops and restaurants. Quiet and off Colman Road.

Enjoyed the area in which we lived, never any issues, prime location as uni students. Pubs and shops very close, half way between the City and the uni. Easy walk or cycle to anywhere you'd need to go as a student.

Close to the university ( short bus or bike ride away) and the city center. Shops and pubs on your doorstep

Neighbours were lovely, always willing to lend a hand when needed or stop for a chat. There’s an annual street party in summer and a facebook group to join.
The mosque across the road included a small shop that provided all the basics at good prices, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Parking during the mosque opening hours could get dicey though. At the other end of the street there’s a fab little café.
Downsides are that there’s a graveyard at the end of the road (which depending on your zombie preparedness levels could be offputting) and it’s about an hour’s walk to town.

Quite far from uea, but close to nice pubs. Location does not make up for the poor quality of the house and the conduct of the landlords.

The local area was your average neighbourhood. Those that we spoke to were friendly but we didn't talk to lots of people on the street.

Close to UEA and aldi but not much else. Police came out once to deal with someone threatening next-door neighbours.

It's nice to live in the city centre but I have been followed home from the Prince of Wales bus stop on my way home from work before and had to hide in the local Tesco until I lost them. There is alot of screaming and drunk people outside. Once there were a couple of rough sleepers in the doorway of the building.
