2 minute walk to town/union/bus station/west sands, 5 minutes to North Haugh, very convenient location

About 10/15 min walk from town. Night-bus will drop you off close enough. No problems in the area so far. Shortcut through Glebe road and the sheds gets you into town faster that going down Lamond Drive.

The neighbourhood is calm and no disturbances. But I already have a big disturbance in the name of my landlord and dont need one from outside.

Nice and leafy local area, quiet neighbours, easy access to town and the university. Nice riverside location too, and easy access to the beach at East Sands.

St Andrews is a lovely place to live, and the location of our house was very close to town and the University.
It is such a shame that the letting agency could not be as nice.

Close to uni, bus stop right outside - quite loud a lot of the time but not awful - the drive was bad though and hard to get cars on and off due to the slope.

Extremely close to everything; you’re no more than five minutes by foot to classes in town, Tesco, Taste ... The convenience really makes this house a huge win. We are also situated next to two eateries: Greyfriars Inn and Ziggys. They’re usually quiet, but we do hear Greyfriars whenever they dump out their glass.

The flat is in a prime location, just by the West Port on South Street. Very close to the shops, bus station and union, it is in prime location in the heart of St Andrews. It is facing the shell garage, meaning that it gets quite a lot of noise in the day from cars, and at night from drunk students walking to and from the union. This is a prominence feature of the building also, with flat parties being common on many nights of the week.

Locals ok but they also didn’t like landlord, and resulting friction made relationships difficult.

Close to local Aldi and Morrison’s, very useful for doing cheaper shopping than in the center of town. 1 mile walk to lectures either in North Haugh or in town. Neighbours ignore you, generally hate students. Local councillors don’t help with the “we hate students and HMOs” meetings for the community. You will struggle interacting with locals if you’re a student because they’re naturally inclined to dislike you - despite the fact we are essential for the local economy.
