Neighbourhood and local area reviews for renting in United Kingdom

This area is a hamlet of lovely neighbours. Very quiet, nothing to do and no shops and that’s just how we wanted it.

We cannot fault the local area and lovely neighbours we had, transport links were brilliant and very close to parks and the city centre, we enjoyed living in the area and always felt safe.

No regular bus cost £ 20 to get to turriff by taxi (nearest town) 5 miles to nearest shop no school that's also 5 miles away.

The area has excellent transportation links and is within walking distance of High Street Kensington. However it can be dodgy at night time, our car was broken into.

Overall a really nice area to live in, nothing wrong with renting in this area but just to a different landlord.

It was good enough for us as it was 20 min from my work. There's also a nice park not too far and reaching the center was very easy.

awful area and neighbourhood wouldn't recommend living here. Constantly banging and singing from neighbours. Always people screaming and fighting in the garden. Full of chavs and people that smoke weed. Landlord is fully aware of the neighbours and hasn't taken any action.

Neighbours were terrible when I lived there. Meant to be a quiet area it’s not. House parties all the time.

Nice area, close to a famous local park. Can't imagine how the neighborhood being able to bear with such a neighbor before. This landlord is probably the only minus point of this area.

Selly oak is a student town within the city of Birmingham. We did get broken into and there lacks any type of security or adequate policing. It isn’t aesthetically pleasing but somehow it was still an enjoyable experience to be surrounded by other students.
