THIS PROPERTY IS A HAZARD TO BOTH PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH!
EVERY INCH of the property is filled with MOULD in every room and there is also a massive leak in the kitchen roof. These problems have been addressed with both the landlord and his daughter (who is in charge of dealings with property) who both choose to ignore it. When addressing the leak with the landlord he told me he isn’t getting on the roof because it’s dangerous and the daughter completely disregarded the leak saying she has leaks in her home this caused the roof to start to rot.
When the mould was addressed the landlord claimed he would PAINT OVER THE MOULD !!!!!!! And again both problems weren’t sorted in the span of the 2 years I lived here with my partner which caused a lot of my items to be covered in mould and be ruined.
Any time there was a problem and I would address it to the daughter she would become really hostile and aggressive even the first week I moved here had problems with the sink not working and she put it out as if I had broken it since ‘HER OTHER TENANTS NEVER HAD THAT PROBLEM’ .
There was a structural problem with the building itself when it came to the mould situation since there seemed to be a leak behind the bedroom wall causing dampness however when the landlord came to inspect it as I reported it HE SAID IT LOOKED FINE (EVENTHOUGH THE WALL WAS CRACKED AND CEILING LOOKED LIKE IT WAS GOING TO CAVE IN IN THE FUTURE) while his friend next to him looked SHOCKED by his response.
In addition to this every time I would need electric I would need to get electricity cards of the landlord personally. HE WOULD TAKE DAYS TO TOP UP MY ELECTRIC AFTER BEING PAYED AND I WOULD BE SAT IN THE DARK WITH CANDLES ON NOT ABLE TO COOK MEALS OR SHOWER.
This property also doesn’t have a safe fire exit or anything for the top floor.
Honestly don’t rent this place unless you’re ok with breathing in mould, dealing with the landlords aggressive daughter, and living without basic utilities. Also don’t rent this property unless you’re ok with waiting 3 months to get your deposit back

This is a one bedroom flat by hagley road. I lived here for a little over a year. There are 5flats in this building. The building itself is filthy. Not sure how i did not see this when i came for a viewing. The one year i lived there. The passage stairs we never cleaned. The backyard is full with grass. The kitchen roof leaks when it rains. Very cold, as its old building. But the landlord has not taken care of this house. Simple things like bells, I messaged a couple of times to get this fixed cause i was missing my delivery.
