The agency were rude and patronising to us - classic example of how agencies 'rip off' students. They had to be reminded on many occasions that we were still having problems with mold - and despite bringing to their attention it was unhealthy to live there they took their time to 'fix' the problem. The living room wall which was soft to touch due to the condensation was simply covered by putting another wall in front of it - that doesn't solve the problem. Although most of the staff were unpleasant, there this was not the case for all, some of them were pleasant and understanding although unfortunately that did not solve the problems with the property.

Property rating

The property was in a poor state. When we moved in we found that a quick paint job had been done, with paint stains on the sofas, shelves, curtains etc. One living room wall was conveniently covered by a large picture - when we took it down we found that the wall was giving in when we touched it due to condensation. There was mold in most rooms, and after months of complaining they installed a fan in the upstairs bathroom (that didn't have any mold, but not in the downstairs bathroom that did), and a device to circulate air more. Upstairs there were floorboards we avoided walking on because we thought they might break. The garden was overgrowing and had rubbish in it when we moved in.
