I would not have rated my landlord so low if he had dealt with several issues with the heating system in the house before winter ended.
He was very slow to deal with the issues at first. He then started to ignore them and when confronted about them, he used intimidation and threatened to get nothing fixed. I had to insist even more for him to finally sort it out, but too late as the cold season was basically over. The place still has heating issues that I doubt he will fix anytime soon. He would never admit he was wrong and obviously never apologized. At check out, he even took out over half my deposit as revenge for pointing out his mistakes. Some of the money collected was used to replace old house features that were already wearing out.

The place still has features dating from when it was built back in the 70s. It is poorly maintained; paint splashes everywhere, extractor fan not working, dated carpet throughout, also poor cooker, sinks, shower, toilets. It is pretty well insulated but the heating system is very poor, the radiators never get hot and needs extensive work to be at the standard you would expect in the 21st century.
Unless modifications are made to meet the basic standards, it is clearly overpriced for what you get.
