Student area of Selly Oak is very close to the university of Birmingham (10 min walk) so perfect for getting to lectures. Aldi also very close by (5 min walk). Being a student area it can be quite load with parties going on nearby

Very very close to station, alright selection of shops. Student area, so neighbours are loud & there is often noise late into the night. Would Not recommend if not a student.

Close to university with good transport links and shops but can be a target for crime.

the property is right by university Southgate. Also there are two doctors nearby and a Tesco garage just around the corner

Extremely ideal for walking to Selly Oak train station (10 mins) and close to Aldi and University as well. Also ideally placed to access the Orchard Learning Centre if you are a student at the University of Birmingham. Selly Oak does have a bad reputation and we have recently had our bin stolen and dog poo bags thrown in our garden!

Selly oak, but closer to uni and near main road which makes you feel safer. Only 6 mins to the uni gates, and 10 mins to everything you need. Good location, its what you pay for in your rent as house not worth it.

Better part of Selly Oak as near main road and away from station. Still only 10 mins to walk literally anywhere you need.

Selly oak is not the best but suitable for students. Lots of reports of break ins and there is often rubbish lying about.

Selly oak is a fun student neighbourhood to live in, easy to access the university, shops and pubs within walking distance. Feels safer living here as its not too far from the high street. Nice to live so close to the uni. Train station is a five-ten minute walk.
