The best thing about the area is the location. It is really close to both university campuses and only about a fifteen minute walk into the city centre. However, the area can feel a bit unsafe at times, especially at night. There were a few situations where I didn’t feel entirely comfortable walking home. Noise was also an issue on some streets, depending on your neighbours and how busy the road is. The houses in Highfield can be quite hit or miss. Some are fine, but a lot are quite old or badly maintained. It really depends on your landlord and the exact street.

Vauxhall offers excellent transport, a vibrant cultural scene, leafy escapes, and plentiful local shops and eateries. It’s especially well-suited to city professionals or students who want central convenience alongside a strong sense of community.

Quiet residential area with plenty of families and pets. Nearby parks, train station and bus stops. Good commute with London Bridge.

The Park is very nice and safe, never felt scared walking alone at night.
