Quiet and pleasant enough. Good access to the motorway and the train station. Only positive thing about it.

The property is close to the university but in regards to being close to many other things it is not. A walk to the supermarket takes around 25 minutes, there are no pubs or bars nearby and the nearest corner shop is very expensive so not even worth going to. There is no community feeling in the area and neighbours do not like any noise, even on weekends and often make complaints to the university or police.

Neighbouring area is rough.

Multiple stabbings and gang violence in the immediate.

Not safe to walk during the day let alone night.

Situated right in the centre of Peckham which is a very lively area. A few options for local shops, super close to the Peckhamplex and Peckham levels and Peckham-Rye train station.

Had a few noisy nights with living right on Rye Lane but otherwise a great area.

The local area was nice, I found it a bit of maze getting in and out of the estate when I first moved in. There were shops just a five minute walk away too. However I did have retired neighbours at the back of the house who used to hassle me regularly about the length of my grass, moan about other neighbours and their cats. I used to avoid them if possible - they were very nosey too!

The neighbourhood was very nice, we were a compact community of about 20 houses and everyone was friendly. There were local shops and a pub just down the road and I felt safe in the area. It was quiet and there were main transport links to where I worked.

★★☆☆☆
The area was very close to transport links that were very useful but that was the only positive. There were frequent stabbings and machete attacks, gangs would be at the corners of every street. There wasn’t much of a community. There were homeless people sleeping in the street with no one to help them. There was nothing to do. Our neighbours were nice.

The house is so close to the tube, which is great to get to uni, and there's also a couple of supermarkets - Co-cop opposite the tube and a big Asda a bit further down the road. The street is quiet as its a no thru road.

Walk to main campus was further than most of the houses but meant you were away from most of the issues of Selly Oak. Close to the retail parks and the OLRC as well as the free shuttle bus to the main campus.

Nice quiet street, close to Earlsfield train station and Southfields on the district line.
