The neighbourhood was quiet and just a short walk away from the high street. Connections with uni and the city center were a bit slow but acceptable.

Good transport links in local area, lots of nice cafes - but very concrete. Ravenscourt Park is nice to run around.

Same here - good neighbourhood, bad landlord. Rotherhite is a lovely place to be, but there are plenty of other people to rent from.

Neighbours across the road are typical council estate scum. Selling drugs, locking their children out all day and not letting them in. Generally causing trouble. Lockleaze as a whole is not a nice area. The only rewarding factor is the nice walks around the green space available there.

The neighbourhood was good: a diverse working class community. The flat was on the main road, which was pretty polluted (you didn't really want to open the windows).

Selly Oak is the best student ghetto in Birmingham, with good facilities, friendly neighbours and underrated cuisine.

Leytonstone is largely residential, so it feels like a safe area. The amenities aren't great but it's easy to get to Stratford, which is a much livelier area. Transport links are in the form of buses, which only really go to a few places, and the Central line on the tube. There aren't many local restaurants or cafés and supermarkets are sparse.
