Neighbourhood and local area reviews for renting in United Kingdom

Ashley down is now expensive to live in so when this came up I jumped on it. I love ashley down road and always will. The local co op is sky high so go to the tescos a mile up the road instead or even the new Lidl and home bargains etc and you will save massively. The pubs are generic and gentrified but the golden lion has character and is worth a bash as it seems to be the only live music pub in the area! There's a corner shop that I grew to love in the end. Open till 2am most nights. Takeaways wise the Southern fried chicken and pizza place ( opposite Sainsbury's) is the best for pizza, very very good pizza and cheap. Dominos is twice the price and not as good! There's a few chipys and there all stingy portions aside the posh one near Sainsbury's which gives a massive portion for like 8 quid. Avoid the maxin chicken place. All the Currys and Chinese places are medium average quality i dont reccomend. There's a veg shop that's the best in bristol and cheap also! I will miss living here literally the area has it all, there's no trouble at all

There's a bus stop close to the house (3 mins walk). It's relatively close to Sainsbury which is good. Only downside is that the neighbourhood is close to the sewage plant so the smell can be bad sometimes!

Great local area. Lots of amenities, shopping very good and excellent public transport links

30 second walk from Tottenham court road tube station. Beautiful road. But noisy drunks outside the windows in the evenings. Frequent road works too.

Close to bustops and 10 mins walk from city centre. Noisy main road outside. Good parking

The local area is brilliant. Good links to pretty much everywhere and lots of shops locally.

The road the house is on is nice, and some of the surrounding areas are also nice. There are some clear signs of improvement such as an M&S food and good bars/cafes. Streatham High Street is still not that great though.

Quite noisy with people coming back from nights out and a school nearby. High crime rate

Friendly village. But major resentment between locals and second homers which makes it feel like an unhappy place.

Muswell hill is wonderful. It's 20 minutes walk to the tube. Plenty of pubs and shops. Feels safe and friendly
