Tenancy review for 8 Hermand Street in Fountainbridgecraiglockhart, Edinburgh rented from Lorna Smith

We had to pay for the repair of windows which broke through no fault of ours, when our neighbors we're harassing us for listening to YouTube on the phone and they were complaining about sound disruption that were happening already a month before we moved in, she immediately took their side and was very rash with us until we said we were ready to move out. When we moved out, a year later, we disclosed some damages that happened, she ghosted us for about a month and then said she'll give us 450 out of 1000 pounds back due to the damages. There was nothing worth that amount in that flat, it was pure profit from their part.

It really felt like this flat was not meant to be used as it was very cheaply made. If you touched something it would break instantly (we opened a window for example, and it broke from outside....) You could hear very clearly the neighbors having a discussion in the smallest room and they could apparently hear us breath. We did not feel comfortable at all there.

It was good enough for us as it was 20 min from my work. There's also a nice park not too far and reaching the center was very easy.
