Neighbourhood and local area reviews for renting in United Kingdom

Area is largely okay. Mainly a mix of families and students. Fairly quiet although the usual speeding dirt bikes and public weed use.

This is a regular 1 bedroom flat in the Rose Kiln neighbourhood of Reading. I rented it for its proximity to the city centre and railway station.

Nice area. Flat above is student let through the university I think. Good bus connections. Ground floor garden neighbours were lovely couple plus cats

Our neighbours were great and a highlight of the rental. Its just a shame the awful service by the letting agent/landlord ruined our experience.

The neighbourhood was a bit rough but it was close to a train station for work commuting.

Not a very good neighborhood. Didn't feel very safe at night, not much to do there either.

Good neighbourhood with everything on your doorstep. Half way between the high street and the common with a selection of shops nearby.

Such a good area to live in! We loved it, easy to get buses, trains, or walk into Richmond to get the tube. We loved living here but it is really expensive because it's so nice.

Local area was great. Nice and quiet - lovely gardens etc. Great neighbours. Lots of cool little shops and pubs with interesting evenings/theme nights.

2 Police anti-drug raids, and one murder, several petty crimes, hard drug use, constant noise, fairly clean, no direct trouble with neighbors, bowling green visible from window, central location, local amenities.

Lovely area, just a shame this agent is so terrible. Fortunately, I have spread details of their lack-of-service, and potential corruption, so they've lost numerous lettings and house sales in this and surrounding areas.
