Neighbourhood and local area reviews for renting in United Kingdom

Nice area, no problems, neighbours mostly kept to themselves. No problems with burglary or anything, near to the centre of Longsight.

Crouch end is quite nice.

Pros
> good shops/cafes.
> nice for a walk
> good local library
> some good community activities
> green space near by
(all in all its a decent area to live)

> no tube connection and the busses are very hit and miss in the morning - be warned if you commute anyplace south, could be very awkward at 8am.

> For a relatively settled area there was quite a bit of crime. My neighbour had an armed burglary in which he was threatened with a weapon. I also seen some fights on the high street. Still as London goes I felt the immediate area was fine even if the surrounding neighbour hoods could be sketchy. I'd still recommend the area overall.

Neighbour hood was a little rough but I never felt unsafe, Very quiet considering. Although there is a building site over the road as I write this so it will be noisy during the day until it is done.

Bruntsfield is very gentrified and feels safe.
That being said it can be really noisy living directly in to the Main Street as there are lost of pubs and bars that close late.

Great to get into and out of the city centre easily. Can be noisy at night though; especially being at a major junction of a major road. Expect sirens 24/7, and noisy neighbours.

Seven Dials area in Brighton is the best place to live if you are a young professional - it's close to town, close to Brighton train station, has great bus links, good local shops, plenty of places to eat and drink.

Neighbourhood was great. Great people. 5 mins to shops and schools.
Shame that the house owner ruined it for everyone

Clarendon Park is a great area. Lots of shops nearby, close to a big park and the University, easy to get into town.

Nice area. Parks and amenities close by. Shops etc. Landlord obviously make a good investment.

Fine - good local amenities and nice church nearby. A bit short on personality and not the friendliest area, people keep themselves to themselves.
