At first glance the local area is great. It has close links to the city centre with loads of regular buses into town. Even an Uber is relatively cheap. It was also close to Harborne and Bearwood high streets. However, there are also quite a few unsavory elements - drug addicts and prostitution is common.

The flat is very central and really convenient for the university and for shopping. The transport links are excellent. It can get a bit noisy on Wednesday and Friday nights but not enough for major disturbances.

Situated in Bangor town, close to the main high street and bus station. Approximately a 20 minute walk from the train station.

Right next to large tesco, stay on university side of salford precinct and you should be fine. next to large police station and near salford royal hospital so many sirens at night. Had some trouble with local people but minimal in 3 years I lived there. Usually drunk/homeless people trying to ask you for money or travelers (very rare though.)

Nice area, parking is very busy so can be difficult to get a space. There is a problem with gangs- day to day it’s fine although there was a stabbing on the road and visable drug dealing.

Lovely: quiet, safe, friendly, a good mix of people and a nice, genuine community feeling. Generally a pretty affluent area but not overwhelmingly "posh" and not at all chocolate-boxy or pretentious - a real sense of something for everyone. Town centre, library, train station, swimming pool etc. within easy walking distance. Real community spirit, all kinds of interesting things going on, lots of originality and creativity; many independent shops and services such as independent bookshops and even a cobbler's.

Obviously, we all love St Andrews, and North Street was a wonderful place to be for two years.

We were a little bit further out than we might have liked but only because we went on foot everywhere. You're still very close to McDonalds, Lidl, Tesco and there is a little corner shop about 2 mins from the house. Its not really a student area so you don't get the issues of noise or litter flying around like on college road.
