It is an amazing neighborhood. All our neighbors got along very well and the area is very pretty with nice green spaces and ideally placed between west Didsbury and Didsbury village.

Really close to university and the shops - the only good thing about this accommodation.

The flat is the only privately owned one in a block of council flats, there have been in the time I have been there two tenants who have been convicted of sexual offences, there is a lot of drug dealing and crack taking in the block. There are some nice families but this is outweighed with the social issues.

The flats themselves are lovely, and because they are gated off they prove to be a bit of an oasis from Stepney Green, which whilst I never felt it was dangerous, is just a bit grim, with a lot of very utilitarian flats around. That being said there are a few decent pubs and such around, and Stepney Green park is very nearby. If you have a car, trying to get parking will be an abysmal experience - the flat is a 'car free proeprty' so you cannot get a parking permit.

Local area had a corner shop and was within walking distance to the supermarket. Near the city centre too. High crime rate was sometimes an issue, along with other anti-social behaviour.

Lovely area (for Glasgow), unfortunately constant road noise all day and night, plus airport noise. Near a high school so the kids drop rubbish outside your house everyday, the parents block the roads everyday, fine if you aren’t here during school hours.

Crime ridden, sorry to inform. My house was burgled three times over 9 years. I kept on living because of close proximity to my workplace.

Area was great. Good transport and schools. Close by to shop, supermarkets and pharmacies.

The house is on a fairly busy cut through but has good local schools and transport links.

As a student area the neighborhood has clearly had investment from student housing and shops like Spar and Subway but cross a bridge in any direction and you'll hit deprived and crime ridden parts of the city. Police sirens are frequent at all hours, as are fights kicking off in the street. Surrounding neighbourhoods are frequently in the local and national news for serious crime, and the occasional body washes up in the Irwell.
