Close to Town Centre so amenities locally are fantastic and local park/green space close by.

2 mins from a small asda and other shops and great transport links.

The area is not the best and most clean, but at the time it was a good option as it was very affordable and life there was cheap.

Not the nicest opr cleanest of areas, but it is cheap and very affordable to live in.

Ilford is not the best and most pleasant borough to live in, but it's cheap and therefore, the best option for me at the time as I wanted to live on my own. However, I expect the neighbourhood to change a lot for good with all the TfL investments and improvements to the area.

The apartment was in walking distance of everything you could need. However, it was very noisy and freight traffic would cut down the road at nigh and sound their foghorns.

Local area is nice, there is the Edinburgh zoo nearby and town is not too far away. Loved the city, but again would recommend living somewhere else and explore the city when you do.

Longwood is a small suburban part of Huddersfield, and lies to the west of the town, and is very close to the stunning Colne Valley area. As such, there are numerous country walks within walking distance of the property. The area is very quiet considering it is close to a town. We often felt we were living in the countryside. The street itself is a little known narrow lane, and as such, the only traffic tends to be other residents accessing their properties. The immediate neighbours were all very friendly and helpful, and I got the feeling they everyone looked out for each other.
Amenities: an award winning fish and chip shop was a short walk away, along with plenty of bus stops into the town, and a handy Co-Op convenience store. Doorstep delivered milk was also available from the local milkman. Broadband speeds were good, and there was space for one car (on street parking) at the front of the house.

Good transport links. Reasonably close to shops. Area not the most affluent and quite noisy.
