Very nice part of Gloucester Road, near the Arches. Unfortunately, this means you are even more vulnerable to landlords and agencies milking you for cash with impunity.

St werburghs is close to the centre and good for young people. There's a good atmosphere and shops are nearby. Nice local pub.

Very close to town centre and train station a short 5 minute walk away. A little busy as situated on a main road.

Quiet, leafy upmarket area about 15 min walk to the station which is well connected with central London.

The area of Gosforth is so lovely, with a little butchers and greengrocers at end of road if you are ever free during their opening hours. High street 15 minutes walk away with amazing pub (the Brandling Arms) and local shops. Free parking through most of Gosforth and the Town Moors 20 minutes away.

Quiet for winter time. I would have not gone out after dark. Lots of dog owners walking the dogs on the shore.

Ashley Down Road is a great place to live. The flat was on the main road and there's a pub close by. It's quite lively and sometimes a tad noisy, but it's close to Gloucester Road, shops, gym, college etc. Great location.

Situated in a quieter safer part of town but opposite a playing field where all the locals take their dogs to do their poo's and have a walk. Not nice seeing it all day from your lounge. Also dogs fighting and barking. Including next doors dog.
When the football is on everyone parks all over the place and you can hear the match and even footballers swearing sometimes. Kids can hang out here at.night.
But i felt safe and it is a nice area.

Nice, quiet family neighbourhood in Canterbury. Not a heavily student-y area like some other areas - mostly families and retired couples, but it was a decent compromise between being able to walk to uni and into town. Only downside is it is a bit of a walk to a nearby bus stop but other than that - can't complain. The neighbours next to us were slightly noisy as a young family you could often hear the children screaming and parents shouting through the adjoining wall.

Neighbourhood is great, very quiet, although had some minor issue with a neighbour letting their property as an Air-B&B property and the tenant not putting rubbish into provided bins, leading to some issues with foxes.
