21 Clement Street

We were never really in contact with the landlord. Everything went through Bramleys, we had a lot of his post come here for a while and he came by twice to collect it. In good news, until yesterday, if we needed something like the dehumidifier or the gate he did pay for it. And also repaid us for the pest control. He also allowed us to have our dog for no extra cost. So we do appreciate that big time. The saddening part is knowing the basement is my workspace and having to deal with black mould daily. And him telling us not to use the space with no deductions on rent for one less room to have.

3 bedroom property, lots is wrong with this house deep down. The property is leaning you'll learn this with furniture cause it's all slanted away from walls. The basement is mouldy. When we viewed it, it was perfect. The walls has been painted white and it was clean and smelt great, weeks later the mould began to show. The basement is my workroom. So I'm in here often. Informed the landlord. Received a dehumidifier and it did nothing. It's since ruined a lot of my stuff. Made my work damp and I've had to throw a lot out the landlord won't compensate for it. They told us to instead not use the room and to leave it empty. Can't even store anything here. The windows are shocking. No heat is retained in the property. It's constantly icy cold and it costs a fortune to even attempt keeping it at 18c thick curtains everywhere to try keep it warmer don't help (we have three layers on each window) the door let's water in. We've had infestation of insects too from landlords furniture. (Spent £115 on pest control) the shower is decent. That's the only warm room in the house. The top bedroom has plenty storage and is decent in size. It's probably my favourite room cause we made it snug. Behind the bed is plenty storage too. Although when I first discovered it, there was a random quilt and pillow inside?? Weird. We've had issues of plugs not working and instead of fixing it the electrician just sealed them off. Light bulbs flickering constantly despite being changed. Bathroom light broke. Radiator in basement broke. Garden gate broke. We've altho had thieves on the property so be aware of that. Fridge broke not long after being here (belonged to landlord) landlord wouldn't have it fixed so we had to buy a new one. Said we can take it with us. We shall see. Overall I'm absolutely desperate to leave and we do soon. I'll be moving far away from here and never using Bramleys either.
