He has instead decided to sell and evict us. He has refused to lower our rent or compensate us for damage to our belongings and his response is now "I don't know why you are still complaining when you will be out of there soon." My 5 year old underwent lifesaving surgery 6 months ago and had a lowered immune system. His response to my worries was "You will want to hurry up and move out then won't you?"

After 5 years of paying rent on time and receiving no upkeep or repairs and often even a response, we involved environmental health. They found 5 category 1 faults and 4 category 2 faults (including risk to our health and fire risk/ risk of colapse) and ordered the landlord to do repairs.
