Landlord review for E D Hey-smith, Bangor

Landlord rating: 1
Very little direct contact with he landlord, however the random array of old furniture including a badly damaged sofa which was mouldy upon arrival shows a diregard for the tenants.
Additionally, the landlady refused to act upon repeated requests over a period of 12 months for a damp issue to br resolved, each time refuting the claims by bringing in a further surveyor, despite the fact each one so far, except one generic builder brought in, had confirmed the issue and the route to resolving it. Even after bringing in the council’s housings officers the landlady refused to accept that there had been an ongoing problem and unreasonable amounts of time to repair it.

Letting agent review for Dafydd Hardy, Bangor

Agency rating: 2
Usually very slow to carry out any kind of maintenance and usually required reminding. Then contractors would be called on the day of repairs so thatwe never had reasonable notice of them coming to the property.
Some repairs never got done, which was a particular issue when those repairs involved damp.

Property review for 187 Caernarfon Road, Hendre, Bangor

Property rating: 7
Nicely refurbished kitchen and bathroom, however decor throughout the property is random, cluttered and oppressive.
The house suffers from damp issues throughout and is difficult to keep warm despite being double glazed and having a new heating system.

Area review for Hendre, Bangor

Area rating: 9
Very good access to nearby services. Within a 2 minute walk from the property is Bangor’s train station, B&M, Matalan and a DM fitness, as well as two chinese takeaways. It is only a 10-15 minute walk to the University so only as close as Ffriddoedd site for students.

The graveyard location was an interesting experience!
