Quiet. People are decent and respectful of others.
There are not many things around, but within about 15 mins walking distance.
However the council was quite useless and didn't help us. I pad my council tax for nothing.

Student area is exactly as you'd expect, but very close to the train station with frequent trains to the city centre.

5-10 minute walk to aldi, 15 minutes into town. Close enough during lockdown as didn't go into town much, not sure if the location would be ideal if I was in town more. Is also close to science buildings (5-10 minutes).

For me the property was the perfect location. It is less than 5 minutes walk from the University of Sunderland city campus which is where I was based as a student. It also less than 15 minutes walk from Sunderland Hospital which was perfect for me as this where I worked during and after my degree. There is a metro station at the end of the street, less than 2 minutes walk, providing easy access to Newcastle. The city centre is about 15 minutes walk away. There is an aldi about 20 minutes walk away, a morrisons petrol station around the corner and also a small corner shop less than a minute away. As a student or young professional working in the city centre this would be the perfect location for you to live. The property is quite close to a main road which could be slightly noisy at busy times.

Far from the university buildings for the price but at least it was close to the beach. The neighbours at the time were nice but they've moved out now too.
