Landlord rating
Terrible service from the landlord. When emailed about issues with the property she would ignore emails about anything she didn't want to deal with. We were left with a broken boiler over Christmas for over a month and had rats for around 6 month, it was months of emailing her by all tenants before she bothered to call exterminators.
She tried hiring a assistant to manage the house one, we got good service for about two weeks, before she quit after not being able to deal with Kath.
She is particularly bad at returning deposits and forces all tenants to pay for professional cleaners, no matter the cleanliness of the room.
Basically every tenant in the house leaves as soon as their tenancy contract ends due to the difficulty and hassle of dealing with Kath.

It is a good property, the building itself is nice, but sadly the landlord has let it fall into bad shape. All the appliances are the cheapest second hand appliances she can find, so they break regularly. At any time during the year I stayed there, multiple things in the house were broken.
The lawn is also mostly unusable. Kath told us a gardener was included, and would come round to mow the lawn. We were not given access to a lawnmower of our own. This gardener came once in the year I was there, leaving the lawn overgrown and unusable.
Kath also has abandoned an old boiler and broken mirror in the garden and seems to have no inclination to remove them.

A good area. Easy cycle distance into the centre of Oxford, which has everything you would need. A decent pub and fish and chip shop round the corner.
