Landlord rating: 4

Rent increased every renewal and they said they were open to 6 months or rolling contract after initial 12 months but that turned out not to be true. They did allow us to get a pet though while we were renting there. A bunch of issues needed fixing but once they found out we were leaving they didn't bother fixing. Usually we were left in peace by landlord (aside from freeholder).

Landlord used Northwood Southampton who were also crap, spelling names wrong constantly, giving us dud keys ect. There were okay at contacting landlord for repairs. The agents also asked us about property details when doing viewings when we were leaving

Single bed first floor flat of decent size. But there's mold growing in bathroom and bedroom. Windows are old and need new frames. The kitchen looks big but most of the cupboards aren't real. Washing machine also leaks if you do consecutive loads. Wood floors are nice

The freeholder lives downstairs and he's a nightmare. Very nosey and complains about everything. When it rains you can smell the sewage plant, lots of late night shouting from randoms on the street. A very noisy road too, sirens a few times a day and loads of motorbikes ect. I've heard there's a red light district on the streets opposite. There's also fly tipping, weed ect. Parkings crap. Over the bridge there's a really nice park and across the road is a great bakery
