Landlord rating
Landlord lives in Hong Kong so you won't hear much from them and they couldn't care less how their tenants are doing. They will only have 12 month tenancys because they want to up the rent a consderable amount each year and cant do this with fixed tenants in place. So if you are here for the long run then it's probably not for you.

They only really care about the landlord so it makes sense really as thats where most their money comes from. Ensure you clean behind the fridge as these guys are not in the business of giving back deposits and you do have to put up a fight. They're very unresponsive also so if you have an issue you might aswell fix this yourself.

The property is very old and dated and from a conversation I had with the landlord private plumber it seems nothing has changed in the last 20 years. Single glazing windows, so very cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Almost sure the fire alarms don't work, they've never been tested and they look like they're from the 1970s. They also have only 2 in the flat. Bathroom has a bath/shower which is located under the stairwell for the whole building meaning unless you are under 5ft then it'll be a bit of a squeeze. All metal in the bathroom is rusty as the extractor fan doesn't work and is clogged with 20 years worht of dust. As a result of this there is also a lot of mould to handle in the bathroom. The whol flat suffers from mould quite bad and from cleaning it off orignially I found that they painted over the mould that was previouslt there so yeah lots of health hazards. The front door is connected to the communal corrirdor and entrance fro the rest of the tenants in the building. It is incredbily thin so everyone can hear your conversations and you can hear theres. There is a grumpy old man who lives in the basement flat below and owns it. You'll need to tip toe through the flat at all times and also make sure you don't leave or return to the flat anytime after 9pm as you'll be hearing from him. He'll most likely threaten you although he's not that intimidating, it does add to the inconveniences already piling up. Tiny kitchen and the spare bedroom is more of a closet. Stay away if possible until the landlord sorts everything out.

Lovely neighbourhood and it is full of great people. Very safe and very local to everything. Train station a stone throw away and the houses are pretty to look at.
