The live in landlady is too complicated to live with. She will ask you to buy specific brands of cleaning products, ask you to pay one day before your rent is due, change constantly the way she wants you to clean the house, she will make noises at night but ask you to be quiet when she is sleeping. Repairs are not made quickly. Also, she will ask you to wash the bath maths and cleaning cloths with fabric softener and ask you to wash your clothes with liquid instead of powder detergent with no reason for it. For any problem in the house the landlady will threat you with keeping your deposit. There is no intention to repair the faulty items in the house, she will ask you to use things in a different way or not use them at all.

The property has 3 rooms, living room, kitchen and backyard with a pond. There are many faulty items in the house: the oven is in poor cleanliness condition and does not work properly, the freezer drawers are broken, the pond is not clean regularly so green water and animals can be seen, drawers in the room are saggy, the toiled flush gets stuck and needs to be fixed manually, the back door cannot be used, the tumble dryer cannot be used even though is was advertised as shared facility. Additionally, there is a pet in the house that was not mentioned in the ad, the cat is never washed and is not allowed to leave the house so there are rules about which and when doors can be opened. The radio and TV are always on even if the house is empty. The end of the tenancy is not clear in the contract, it says it is a one year contract but you will loose your deposit if you do not stay for at least two more months. Rooms cannot be locked from outside.

The area is okay, there are good bus routes to go to the city center or university. There are shops in the neighbourhood. However, there is a green area at the back of the house and at least once a week there are people burning things there. All the smoke gets into the house if windows are open.
