The landlord would address repairs when we raised them but sometimes be a bit slow to do so. She contacted us five months into the tenancy demanding passport scans, birth certificates and other information as part of "Right to Rent" checks - seemed bizarre to do it then. She sent rude emails on a couple of occasions after a next-door neighbour complained about us regarding an issue we disagreed with, and next-door neighbour had said was fine to our faces.
However, landlord admitted she fell into her position unexpectedly and was also reasonable when I had to change my rent repayment timetable.
Landlord was VERY specific on cleaning standards on move-out despite the property not being in a great condition when we moved in.

We were only paying £70 a week so wasn't expecting great things. House was big but old and dusty/mouldy in places. One of my housemates and I both got respiratory infections lasting over a month. Property could be very nice but was in need of a renovation at the time. There were no baths and showers/toilets were in a weird layout - one toilet on ground floor, one shower/toilet on first floor and one shower on second floor. Rooms in attic had mouldy blinds and one of the first floor rooms (which had a sink) had mouldy walls. Single-glazed windows in some rooms made house hard to heat. Furniture had seen better days - upholstery stained and cupboard doors were hanging at an angle which made them hard to close. Whole place felt a bit musty.
Shower leaked through ceiling at one point and we were told not to use it, although we had to wait several days before anything was done about it, which was a nuisance but not the worst. House had its own parking space which was helpful.

The street is absolutely gorgeous and you're a stone's throw from Ecclesall Rd. Two mins from the Hallam Collegiate Campus and approx 20 mins from the University of Sheffield. Only minus one star for difficulties with neighbours who we felt resented the fact that we were students renting on the street (despite us all being postgraduates - we felt like they made their mind up about us before they met us).
