Do Not Rent From This Birmingham Landlord

Complete joke.
In my year long tenancy, I never once met my landlord. We only communicated through whatsapp, which was fine, but he was incredibly rude, condescending, and short with us as tenants. He would talk very disrespectfully to us whenever we had a query or question, and was not accommodating or helpful in the slightest. The maintenance man he also hired for our house was very messy and always left the area he was in worse than he found it.
The end of year experience with him was also awful. Very strict and ridiculous guidelines for moving out, especially for university students in Selly Oak. The process of receiving our deposits back was also challenging, as he would not respond to my messages, very immature-like.
I would not recommend ANYONE to rent from this man. It was my worst experience with a landlord, and I have had a handful of them, none as awful as Andrew. If you are a university student in the Birmingham area, I would not suggest for you to rent from this man, as I guarantee you will not have a good experience- a tip from me and my other housemates.

Property rating
Property was decent. Very close to Aldi and the train station. Back yard was a complete joke, as when we moved in, there was wooden planks, garbage, and overgrown shrubbery and grass. However, we were still expected to get a gardener to tend to the yard at the end of our tenancy.

Selly Oak has some charm to it, but definitely is not for everybody. During the day it is more than fine, but night time can get a bit sketchy.
