Our flat had a major leak in September 2024 and we were told that things would be fixed by the time we moved in but on the first night water was coming down from the ceiling. They have barely communicated with us since. We have had 5 times without hot water and it was only fixed 2 months in. Again no communication as it’s only done through absolutely useless Martin and Co instead.

If I could give 0 stars I totally would. Absolutely useless, they lie about a room being habitable when there’s still damp after a major leak. Caroline the property manager is the worst. She sends the most patronising lying emails. She put the phone down on me and my guarantor because we were standing up for our rights. I also had a voice raised at me when I made a phone call after I asked for an update on the overdue compensation (only £200 despite our biggest room which was one of our bedrooms and also our lounge). They did absolutely nothing about the 5 times we lost hot water until they got sick of us asking.

Flat 1 is a complete and utter shithole with a leaking roof. The big bedroom has moisture in the plaster but is apparently still habitable. There’s damp on the walls in the other rooms as well but they’ve done absolutely fuck all. Contractors have left the whole flat a mess. Don’t live there unless you want to be fucked over by Martin & Co and be patronised just because you’re a student. The beds are about as straight as Elton John! Also applies to the floors and the ceiling in one of the bedrooms. I feel sorry for you if you live here next year.
