Landlord rating

Far from a charitable organisation, they are only interested in putting the rent up and providing very little in return. The housing standards are very outdated, with old fittings and carpets, and despite requests they refuse to update anything if it isn't broken.
Additionally they perform regular checks both inside and - including photos - to ensure that the tenant is meeting their expectations.
I've offered to pay out of my own pocket for things like a EV charger, etc. but they always refused.
At one point they basically asked us to leave because they needed to provide accommodation for a new vicar for the church.
I would never rent from them again.

Definitely wouldn't recommend this agency. Only interested in doing the bare minimum with no regard for tenants. They will put the rent up every year and blame it on the landlord. They are reluctant to replace anything that is old - but not broken. Yet, when things do break they only replace with the cheap/easy options. Nothing is upgraded. Very much an "apply a bandaid" approach, no problems are actually solved.
Not prepared to negotiate or understand a tenants position, they are only interested in regular payments and getting more landlords.

Property rating

Looks lovely from the outside, but is old, damp and outdated inside. You will suffer with mould in every area of the house. No ventilation, no double glazing, and old dirty carpets. Extremely expensive to heat in the winter - about £500pm in 2025. The boiler is old and has only manual switches, same with the electrics - nothing is "smart". Shower pressure is awful and the model is over 10 years old (no, the landlord/agency won't update it). The location is the only good thing about this property - but that comes with a hefty price tag. Oh, and you need to realise that you love in the car park of the church, so expect to be blocked in whenever they have an event (see photo).

Area rating

Julian road is a haven for drunk, drugged up semi-homeless people. You can hear them at all hours.
Traffic is awful at rush hour.
But it is close to the centre.
